My discouragement has vanished. I am refreshed and enjoying the new experience that is this trip. The kids were hilarious today! They loved their birthday presents filled with water guns, balloons, toys and toothbrushes. I also got to help dress each kid one by one in the new clothes we brought for them.
Gael and his big, sad eyes never left my side. Doudsy and Davidson took turns getting their backs scratched. I love spoiling the older boys. I can tell they never get tender love or attention. Yves is a mess! He makes funny faces and does quirky voice inflections. I don't speak Creole, but I always know exactly what he's saying... and exactly how he's making fun of me.
